The University for Peace is a non-profit organization that depends on voluntary contributions for its funding. UPEACE was created by a resolution of the UN General Assembly in 1980, but no regular funding system was established for it at the time. Funding has therefore been sought from governments, foundations, individual donors, and the private sector.

Thanks to the support of our current donors, we are providing young leaders from every continent with the opportunity to participate in our different post-graduate programmes, and benefit from an international experience that will shape their lives and careers.
