NO LIMITS TO LEARNING: Distance Education at UPEACE

The distance Education Programme is intended for those wishing to enhance their professional careers with studies. Learning through distance education allows participants to participate in educational processes regardless of time or location. The UPEACE Distance Education Programme has been established to offer the knowledge and experience of UPEACE to as many interested participants as possible.

UPEACE presents courses on issues related to the study of peace and conflict. UPEACE has recognized the importance and effectiveness of the distance educational process and is planning to take advantage of the experience accumulated throughout the years by UPEACE faculty in their face-to-face teaching.

Distance Education at UPEACE aims to carry the same academic weight as an in-class experience at the headquarters UPEACE campus in Costa Rica. The learning materials and mechanisms are meant to guide student-led efforts in learning.

UPEACE is well-known for its diverse student body and excellent classes. Our experience tells that our participants gain comprehensive knowledge from their peers, in addition to extending their personal and professional networks around the world.

Flexibility and Affordability

UPEACE distance learning allows you to be located anywhere in the world but still engage in accredited formal education. Distance learning is student-centered; participants decide the pace and timing of their work, as well as the time and place of their examination(s).

Being a distance education student with UPEACE allows participants to balance their personal and professional obligations while gaining pertinent knowledge in a growing field of study.

The courses are open to anyone interested in the field of peace and conflict studies. Applicants do not need to be pursuing a degree - or a career change. The essential requirement is a true commitment to learning.
