Health Insurance Guidelines
University for Peace policy requires that any full-time or part-time student enrolled in an MA programme must provide evidence of insurance coverage that meet the following criteria:
- Coverage must apply to the full time or part time period of study
- A Minimum of US$ 5,000 coverage per episode
- Hospitalization and medical attention should be covered
- Repatriation of remains should also be included
- Pre-authorization for hospitalization and/or surgical intervention
The following documents must be provided to the Department of Academic Administration as proof of health insurance:
- Photocopy of the insurance card
- Copy of the insurance contract clearly stating the following information:
- Name of the student,
- Description of coverage
- Date coverage begins
- Date coverage ends (must be at least one month after the end of the academic programme at UPEACE)
- Address, phone number and fax number of the insurance provider
